About us
Meet the Growers!
Hi, I’m Ruth and I grow cut flowers and veg near Church Bay on Ynys Môn .
Our small market garden supplies 25 local households with naturally grown, freshly harvested salads, greens and seasonal veg and the flowers and foliage for our floristry.
The veg has separate social media pages – see Pencae Veg.
Before moving to Anglesey 7 years ago to be closer to family I worked as a gardener for 10 years while producing organic salad and supporting the local food and sustainability movement.
I have trained with Aesme Studio for wedding florals and Tuckshop Flowers for funeral arrangements and my floristry style is very simple, natural and informal, always inspired by what is growing each week in the garden.
My sister Emma and her family have a beautiful garden near Benllech featuring a stunning collection of daffodils in Spring, unusual mature shrubs including lots of hydrangeas, as well as perennials. The garden is managed very much with wildlife in mind.
We’re proud members of the Landworkers Alliance as well as the trade association Flowers from the Farm, championing artisan growers of seasonal, scented, locally grown British cut flowers.
